Youth Encouraged To Attend Ag Ambassador Institute

Institute helps young people develop communication and leadership skills, and agribusiness and production ag knowledge.

The 16th annual Minnesota Ag Ambassador Institute will be June 20-22 in Willmar.

It will include agricultural tours throughout the area, agribusiness speakers and communication, advocate and business etiquette training.

This year's program theme is Sharing Common Values.

MAAI is open to individuals who are ages 16 to 21 and are active in a commodity group, FFA or 4-H. The registration deadline is June 1.

MAAI is designed to increase participants' knowledge of Minnesota agribusiness and production agriculture and to help further develop communication and leadership skills.

For more information, contact Jill Resler, Minnesota Pork Board Director of Education, at 1-800-537-7675 or [email protected].

Cost reimbursement is available to Minnesota pork producers who do educational presentations or host on-farm visits. The Minnesota Pork Board recognizes that volunteers play a key role in educating others about pork production and agriculture, but costs associated with volunteering can discourage individuals from contributing their time. For more information on qualifying educational visits and visit guidelines, contact Resler.
