MARL Goes To Southwest Minnesota

Class VI visits Windom and Worthington during its last in-state training session.

Class VI of the Minnesota Agriculture and Rural Leadership program recently visited Windom and Worthington businesses to learn about rural issues.

MARL is a hands-on leadership development program for adult agricultural and rural leaders in Minnesota.

The Windom session was the last of 9 in-state sessions for Class VI. Last March, the class also traveled Washington, D.C. for a week-long national study tour. And later this month, the class journeys to Morocco for a 10-day international study tour.

In southwestern Minnesota, the class visited the Red Rock Rural Water System in Jeffers, hosted by Dominic Jones, manager; Jeffers Wind Farm, hosted by Andy Manteufel and John Swenson; JBS Swift and Company, hosted by Jenny Anderson Martineze; and New Vision Cooperative, hosted by Denny Weber, Mark Eisfeld and Frank McDowell.
