The new T6 mid-range tractor series from New Holland offers six models from 90- to 120- horsepower at the power take off, and with a four-cylinder and six-cylinder engines meet clean air standards for EPA Tier IVA specifications.
The Tier IVA compliant engines use selective catalyst reduction (SCR) known to New Holland as ECOBlue to scrub the exhaust of targeted pollutants and maintain engine performance and reduce fuel consumption.
The T6.140, T6.150 and T6.160 feature a 274 cubic inch 4-cylinder engine, while the T6.155, T6.165, and T6.175 models are powered with a 411 cubic inch 6-cylinder power plant. All models feature electronic engine controls and use a common-rail high pressure diesel fuel system. The models all boast 25 additional hp "boost" to their rating for PTO and transport work.
Four transmissions are available in the series including:
* 24X24 Dual Command Hi-Lo with power shuttle providing an underdrive for each of the 12 forward and reverse gears.
* 16X16 Electroshift with power shuttle which provides touch button powershifting through the four gears of each range, plus a clutch-free shift between first and second range, and between the third and fourth range.
* 16X16 AutoShift with power shuttle offer the same convenience of the Electroshift but with an additional auto-shift button for field and road conditions.
* 17X16 AutoShift with 25mph economy or 31 mph provides and alternative when more economical transmission or higher speeds are desired.
Also, there is a creeper option available for slower operational speeds.
The T6 Series is designed to handle implements with ease, featuring a large three-point hitch lift capacity ranging from 9,620 lbs. to 13,460 lbs, and a choice of standard 18-gallon per minute open-center hydraulic system or the optional 26-gpm closed center, load-sensing system.
